Briana Lightbourn - Summer Theatre Music Director, camp instructor

Briana Lightbourn is a dynamic vocalist, composer, and music educator who earned dual degrees in Music Composition and Choral Music Education at Florida State University. With a multicultural music education background from her upbringing in Miami, Briana has a deep passion for sharing the gift of music and believes it unifies and empowers people of all ages. As a dedicated teacher, she values the evolving nature of music education and believes in the reciprocal learning between teachers and students. In addition to her teaching endeavors, Briana finds inspiration in composing her own music and writing poetry. A nature enthusiast, she can often be found in parks or enjoying the outdoors. Briana currently teaches in Chicago but is coming home to Making Light this summer and we are so excited!
