Christian Collins, a current BFA Music Theatre major at Florida State University, is thrilled be on the Making Light team and work with students to share his joy and passion for music, theatre, and dance.
Having himself been performing for his whole life, Christian has an abundance of knowledge to share, and a passion for theatre that is constantly motivating him to make himself and those he interacts with better. Christian is a New Orleans local who grew up performing on every stage, from community to professional, in the city so full of culture and artistry. He hopes to bring that liveliness and experience he has gained from New Orleans to the students he gets the privilege of working with in their voice, acting, and dance training. Christian also has a passion for choreography and direction. His work ranges from choreographing children’s productions with over 80 young artists to Mainstage musicals with performers from all over the country to Assistant Directing professional plays.
Theatre has always been healing for Christian. He is ecstatic be in an environment that is so nurturing and is excited about helping be a part of shaping the great artists of the next generation.
