About Tallahassee Children's Theatre at MLP
The Tallahassee Children’s Theatre at Making Light Productions is supported by a grant the Florida Autism License Plate and shares MLP’s overall mission: to provide high quality performing arts and jobs for teens and adults with disabilities. Adult performers stage productions aimed at child audiences, and this year's first production is You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Summer 2024). "Tallahassee Children's Theatre provides not only a platform for young actors to shine, but also a community that fosters growth and exploration,” says Making Light Productions Executive Director Juliet Yaques. “The opportunities it creates for actors in the community and the job training and opportunities it provides for the neurodiverse workforce are a testament to the theater's commitment to inclusivity and creativity."
We are excited to be chosen as a 2024 Grant Recipient for Florida Support Autism Programs License Plate! Funds are supporting the Tallahassee Children's Theatre shows and vocational training program. www.autismlicenseplate.com
