Inclusive, Accessible Arts Education for Everyone

At Making Light Productions, every student is welcome. Our classes are designed for children, teens, and adults of all abilities — with adaptive supports and a compassionate team that believes in nurturing talent in every form.

  • Sensory-friendly options available

  • Adaptive teaching methods

  • Peer-supported community

  • Proud partners of Future Pathways and SUFS

Inclusion is at the heart of Making Light. We believe the arts belong to everyone, and our programs are open to people of all abilities. We work to reduce barriers to participation through inclusive teaching practices, individualized support, scholarships, and flexible funding options. Neurodivergent, disabled, and neurotypical students learn and create together, and we are committed to helping families find a path to participation regardless of disability or financial circumstances. Making Light is also a direct provider for Step Up For Students and accepts eligible FES-UA and PEP funding for approved classes and private lessons.

Making Light Productions is committed to providing people with disabilities equal access to our programs, activities, performances, and facilities. We do not discriminate on the basis of disability and work with students, families, audience members, volunteers, and employees to identify reasonable accommodations and reduce barriers to meaningful participation.

Our community includes people with different abilities, identities, backgrounds, communication styles, and ways of learning. Discrimination, harassment, and bullying are not tolerated. We seek to create an environment in which each person is treated with dignity, receives the support needed to participate, and has meaningful opportunities to learn, create, perform, contribute, and lead.
