DANCE CLASSES
Our Broadway Dance classes are a fun way for children and teens to build technique, coordination, musicality, creativity, and stage presence through Broadway-style movement inspired by musical theatre. Making Light Productions offers beginner through advanced dance classes in Tallahassee, with options for first-time dancers as well as experienced performers. Students learn in an encouraging, inclusive environment where they can challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, make lasting friendships, and develop musical theatre dance skills at their own level.
If you would like to use an FES/UA or PEP scholarship, please see the instructions on how to do that here.
Kids and teens can have fun learning choreography in Broadway, hip-hop, and contemporary styles while building coordination, musicality, confidence, and performance skills.

Broadway Dance 2: Dance Combinations and Vocals | Ages 10–18 | Wednesdays at 6:00 PM
Broadway Dance 2 is designed for students ready to move beyond foundational training and learn longer, more challenging combinations. Students continue developing their jazz and tap skills while also exploring hip-hop and contemporary movement used in modern musical theatre.
The class focuses on musicality, choreography retention, performance quality, ensemble work, and individual artistry. Students need an introductory foundation in jazz or ballet and tap.
Hip-Hop & Contemporary | Ages 13 and up | Thursdays at 6 PM
Hip-Hop & Contemporary gives students the opportunity to explore two expressive dance styles in one class. Students develop rhythm, musicality, coordination, fluidity, and confidence through energetic hip-hop choreography and emotionally driven contemporary movement.
