Alden Hutchison brings high energy, heartfelt enthusiasm, and a deep love of storytelling to every class she leads. She holds a degree in Communications from Florida State University, where she specialized in broadcasting, and later earned her Master’s in Library Science to further explore her passion for media, information, and the power of narrative.

With nearly 20 years of experience as an educator and media specialist, Alden has guided students through storytelling and theatre workshops, student-run newscasts, and digital media production clubs. Her own journey in performance and production began in high school and continued through internships and production work with WFSU Public Media.

Today, she directs student actors in a local homeschool drama club and mentors youth in media production and journalism. A self-proclaimed lover of smart, comedic scripts, Alden helps students sharpen their timing and creative instincts through fun, interactive methods—from theatre games to storyboarding and collaborative brainstorming.

Alden is thrilled to join Making Light Productions to lead film production camps and workshops. She is committed to fostering joyful, inclusive spaces where young artists of all abilities can build confidence, find their voice, and tell their own stories—on camera and beyond.
