Alexander Zickafoose: Acting, Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, and Voice

Alexander Zickafoose is an MFA Directing student at Florida State University. He is the former Co-Chair of Music and Choir/Modern Band Director at Booker High School and a former staff member at Rise Above Performing Arts. He has also worked with Spotlight Theatre Productions, where productions under his involvement received Outstanding Production and Outstanding Music and Ensemble honors at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, as well as Best Performing Arts School at Access Broadway in Orlando for three consecutive years.
Alex’s directing credits include Be More Chill (Rise Above Performing Arts), Starkid’s The Trail to Oregon! (Beyond Z Performing Arts), The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Rise Above Performing Arts), Children of Eden Jr. (Spotlight Theatre Productions), and Mary Poppins Jr., Finding Nemo Jr., Frozen Jr., and Winnie the Pooh KIDS (Manatee Performing Arts Center).
His music directing credits include Spring Awakening (New College Theatre), Anything Goes (Manatee Performing Arts Center), and James and the Giant Peach Jr., Shrek Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., and Once on This Island Jr. (Spotlight Theatre Productions).
As a performer, Alex has appeared as Jonathan Larson in Tick, Tick… Boom! and Mendel in Falsettos (Sarasota Players); Billy in Anything Goes, Nick Bottom in Something Rotten!, Pippin in Pippin, and Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Manatee Performing Arts Center); Jamie in The Last Five Years (Venice Theatre); and James Vanderipe in The Ballad of Old Manatee (Hat Theatre Collective).
This fall, Alex will make his FSU directorial debut with Me...Jane: The Dreams and Adventures of a Young Jane Goodall.
