Danelle Eckhart brings a wealth of experience and passion for music education to Making Light Productions. She holds an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from Florida State University (earned in 2024), along with a Master of Music Education, Master of Music in Vocal Performance, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Illinois State University. She also earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Theatre from Illinois Central College.
Danelle's teaching career spans PK-8 general music, elementary, middle and high school chorus, elementary and middle school theatre, elementary Orff ensemble, and independent studies in piano and guitar. She is the Choral Director at Florida State University Schools, where she also serves as co-sponsor for Thespians. In addition to her public school experience, she offers private instruction in voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele and plays nearly any string instrument with ease.
A seasoned performer, Danelle has been featured as a soprano soloist in major works such as Bach’s St. John Passion at Illinois State University and First Federated Church, as well as Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo with the Tallahassee Community Chorus.
Danelle’s dedication to music education, her diverse skill set, and her passion for nurturing young talent make her an invaluable addition to our team.
