Erica J. Dowling serves as Director of Music at Making Light Productions and teaches voice, piano, acting, and musical theatre. A classically trained vocalist and music educator, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida State University and an Associate of Arts in Education from Tallahassee State College. She is also beginning graduate study to continue developing her work in music and education.

Originally from Kissimmee, Florida, Erica graduated from Osceola County School for the Arts and has extensive experience in classical voice and musical theatre. Her performance credits include West Side Story, In the Heights, Into the Woods, and [title of show].

At Making Light, Erica music directs fully produced theatrical productions, including Pete the Cat. She helps students develop vocal technique, musicianship, acting skills, confidence, and an authentic connection to the material they perform. She works with students of different ages, experience levels, communication styles, and learning needs.
