Erin John: Administrative Coordinator, Theatre Teaching Artist, and Makeup Designer

Erin John is the Administrative Coordinator at Making Light Productions, as well as a Tallahassee performer, teaching artist, and theatrical makeup designer. A former Making Light student, Erin has grown within the organization from participant and performer to instructor and staff member. They received a Thespian Critics’ Choice award in makeup design and have developed extensive experience in acting, character makeup, makeup design, and theatre production.

At Making Light, Erin helps coordinate day-to-day administrative operations, supports families and instructors, assists with scheduling and registrations, and helps keep programs running smoothly. They also work directly with students across multiple theatre and arts programs. Their recent performance credits include Pete the Cat, and their instruction draws on practical experience in performance, character development, makeup artistry, and collaborative production work.

Erin helps students explore new creative skills, develop confidence in their work, and understand how performance and visual design contribute to a complete theatrical production.
