Erin John, makeup artist

Erin John is a passionate performer and artist, born and raised in Tallahassee. A 2025 high school graduate, Erin has appeared in numerous productions on stage while also building a strong reputation behind the scenes as a skilled makeup artist. Their artistry has brought countless characters to life, and in recognition of that talent, Erin earned a prestigious Critics’ Choice award in makeup design as a Thespian.

Now teaching Makeup 1 at Making Light, Erin combines their love of theatre with their gift for teaching. They are dedicated to helping students explore the creative possibilities of makeup design while gaining confidence in their own artistry. Erin thrives in the inclusive and joyful environment of Making Light, where they find true fulfillment in supporting every student’s unique artistic journey.
