Jack Jammer, Scenic Director: Scenic Design and Carpentry

Jack Jammer serves as Scenic Director at Making Light Productions. He is a scenic designer, master carpenter, architectural designer, and performer who creates functional theatrical environments for student and community productions.

Jack holds a master’s degree in Architecture from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and spent five years working as an architectural designer for BKJ Architecture before moving into full-time theatrical work in 2021. He now provides scenic design and carpentry throughout the Big Bend area, working with organizations and schools including Making Light Productions, Theatre Tallahassee, Southern Shakespeare Company, Young Actors Theatre, Maclay School, Leon High School, and Monticello Opera House.

Jack’s scenic work ranges from large outdoor productions to intimate black box theatre. At Making Light, he designs detailed, durable sets that support storytelling while allowing student actors to move safely and effectively through the performance space. He also performs in Making Light productions and recently appeared in Pete the Cat.
