Joe Svisco, Technical Director

Joe brings a wealth of experience to his role as Technical Director at Making Light Productions, where he oversees the technical elements that bring each production to life. From sound design and lighting to stage management and behind-the-scenes coordination, Joe ensures that every show runs smoothly and looks its best.

A longtime member of the Tallahassee theatre community, Joe has performed, directed, and designed for numerous productions at both Making Light and Quincy Music Theatre. At QMT, he also served six years on the Board of Directors, including two as President during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Outside the theatre, Joe works in Event Services at Florida State University and is a Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) with experience managing state and federal grants.

Joe’s blend of artistry, technical expertise, and leadership makes him an invaluable part of Making Light’s staff team.
