Lillian Deans, voice and acting

Lillian Deans brings a heart for education and a flair for performance to Making Light Productions. A proud Florida State University alum, she holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Special Education and currently teaches high school at Gretchen Everhart School. At Making Light, she’s thrilled to combine her two greatest passions: helping students reach their full potential and sharing the magic of musical theatre.

Lillian’s love for performing started early—entertaining friends and family before diving into formal training in band, chorus, and Thespians. She earned Superior ratings for her musical theatre performances at district competitions and studied acting, makeup, costuming, and stage management at Circle School of the Arts. Her favorite roles include Jo in Little Women, Ilona (understudy) in She Loves Me, and Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes.

Outside the classroom and rehearsal space, you’ll find Lillian relaxing with reality TV, jamming to Harry Styles, or spending time with her beloved chocolate lab, Arlo. She brings warmth, energy, and a deep belief in each student’s potential to every class she teaches.
