McKenzie is a singer/songwriter and lifelong performer with a deep love for music and theatre. She grew up immersed in choir, musical theatre, piano lessons, and ballet classes. Over the years, she has taken on a wide variety of roles, with some favorites including Little Red in Into the Woods, Wednesday in The Addams Family, Claire in Rumors, and Celeste #2 in Sunday in the Park with George.

A lifelong musician, McKenzie began piano at age four and trained classically through her teens before branching into accompanying her friends and sister on musical theatre songs. She has also been playing guitar and ukulele since age nine, and she delights in writing songs across all three instruments. Passionate about lyricism, she approaches songwriting much like poetry, blending emotion and storytelling into her music.

For McKenzie, music and theatre are inseparable parts of who she is. She is thrilled to share her creativity, love of performance, and joy for collaboration with the Making Light Productions community.
