Rosemary Hoitt is a passionate educator, performer, and arts advocate currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Arts Administration at Florida State University. A Boston native, she grew up in a musical family that nurtured her love for the performing arts from a young age. Whether acting in local theater productions, auditioning for All-State band festivals, or performing in the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild One-Act Festival, Rosemary has always been immersed in music and theater. The people she met through music and theater shaped her into the person she is today, and she is happy to share her experience and excitement for the arts with her students.
She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College in 2022 and went on to teach middle school band in Spencer, NY for two years. During that time, she also taught Adaptive Music, produced two high school musicals, and performed in the pit on flute (a surprise to her!) for a production of Once Upon a Mattress. While she’s currently expanding her skills in arts administration, Rosemary considers herself a teacher at heart and is thrilled to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the students at Making Light Productions.
